This is a delicious and healthy dish that takes 5 minutes to make and goes with almost anything--asian, mediterranean or american. Barefoot Contessa has a similar recipe but adds butter and extra salt. You don't need that, but can add if you like. Fresh spinach is much better than frozen in this dish.

This was great! I didn't have quit enough spinach though...and I only cut the salt by a little more than half...it wasn't nearly enough...I should have only put 1/8 of the salt in.... so besides being really salty it was really good. Both my kids ate it! It is amazing that I even got my daughter to eat it. She said it tasted like the broccoli that I make....whatever works right!

Thanks for the feedback, Anne! Didn't realize I had oversalted so much (I do like salt!). If you didn't use kosher salt, it makes a huge difference. Kosher salt has a much larger surface area, so 1 tsp of kosher salt is less sodium than 1/2 tsp of regular salt. Still...sounds like I may need to try cutting back on my salt usage!
