- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tbsp. ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 c. boiling water
Инструкции
- Sift 3 c. flour with salt and spices. Cream shortening and sugar. Add in egg. Beat all together till light. Add in molasses and vinegar, then sift dry ingredients. Last add in baking soda dissolved in boiling water.
- If necessary, add in more flour to make a soft dough. Drop by tsp. on greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 8-10 min in 325 degree oven. Makes about 50 plump cookies.
