- 1 1/2 lbs. round steak, 3/4 inch thick
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Dash pepper
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- 1 can Campbell's onion soup
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1 med. green pepper, cut into 8 strips

- Combine flour and seasonings. Lb. into meat with edge of heavy saucer. Brown meat in a skillet in shortening; pour off fat. Add in soup and ketchup. Cover, cook over low heat 1 hour. Add in green pepper. Cook 20 min more or possibly till tender. Stir now and then. Serve with mashed potatoes.
