- 2 c. plain yogurt
- 1/4 c. red wine vinegar
- 3 lrg yellow onions, cut in large chunks
- 2 x garlic cloves, crushed in a garlic press Salt and freshly grnd black pepper, to taste
- 2 1/2 x to 3 pounds boneless lamb, cut into 2 inch cubes
- 3 x tomatoes, cut into chunks
- 1 x eggplant, cut into chunks
- 3 x bell peppers, cut into chunks
- 10 x to 15 mushrooms
- 10 x garlic cloves, peeled
Инструкции
- Mix yogurt, vinegar, onions, crushed garlic, and salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add in lamb and toss to coat. Cover bowl and marinate lamb for 2 hrs at room temperature.
- Spear lamb on skewers with chunks of tomato, eggplant, bell pepper, whole mushrooms and cloves of garlic; place skewers on grill. Drain marinated onion chunks and arrange them on grill around skewers. Grill shish kebabs about 10 to 15 min, turning as needed. Grill onions till they are soft but have crispy edges.
