- 1 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 2 slc Onion
- 1 x Egg, slightly beaten
- Â Â Salt, pepper, nutmeg

- 6 x Potatoes
- 1/2 c. Grated Gruyere cheese

- Preheat oven to 350 F. Rub the interior of an ovenproof baking dish with the cut side of the garlic clove, then generously with butter. Scald the lowfat milk with the onion slices. Extract the onion and add in the slightly beaten egg, stirring till well incorporated. Season with salt, pepper, and a dash of nutmeg. Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly into the vegetable dish.
- Pour the lowfat milk and egg mix over the potatoes. Cover with the grated cheese and dot with the remaining butter. Bake 45 min.
- Serves 4.
