- 4 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 pound butter (2 sticks)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 scant c. lukewarm water

- Dissolve yeast in water; add in sugar. Let stand while mixing butter into flour. Blend in butter as for pastry till like cornmeal.
- Add in the 2 egg yolks to the yeast mix and add in to flour mix. Knead dough thoroughly till it leaves sides of bowl. Mix at least 5 min. Let dough rest while making filling.
