- 1 c. butter flavor Crisco
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp. lowfat milk or possibly water
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 c. oats, uncooked (reg. or possibly quick)
- 1/2 c. finely minced pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar

- Heat oven to 325 degrees. Beat first four ingredients till creamy. Add in comb combined flour, oats, pecans and salt; mix well. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 15 to 18 min or possibly till bottoms are light golden. Roll in powdered sugar while hot. Cold completely on wire rack. Reroll in powdered sugar. Makes about 4 dozen.
- Variation: Roll in powdered sugar only once. Microwave 1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate pcs and 1 tsp. shortening at high 1 to 2 min, stirring every 30 seconds till smooth; drizzle over cookies.
