5 Tbsp. flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable shorting
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1tsp. vanilla

Using a hand mixer cook the flour and milk together until thick. Remove from the heat and cool.
Cream together shorting, butter and sugar thoughly; light and fluffy in appearance. Add to the cooled mixture and beat until thick and creamy. Add vanilla.
