  • 5 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shorting
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1tsp. vanilla

  1. Using a hand mixer cook the flour and milk together until thick. Remove from the heat and cool.
  2. Cream together shorting, butter and sugar thoughly; light and fluffy in appearance. Add to the cooled mixture and beat until thick and creamy. Add vanilla.
