  1. Heat lard; then cold till lukewarm. Sift all dry ingredients together. Add in lard to dry ingredients. Add in buttermilk. Mix well. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness on floured board. Cut large round cookies. Cook till brown, about 12 min.
