- 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
- 1 c. butter or possibly margarine
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 x Large eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp baking pwdr
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 3/4 tsp vanilla

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream together Crisco, butter, and sugar. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour; measure after sifting. Sift together dry ingredients; sift several times till cocoa is well-blended with flour. Add in dry ingredients and lowfat milk alternately to sugar/egg mix. Add in vanilla; mix well. Bake in a tube or possibly Bundt pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 45 min. Remove cake from oven: let sit in the pan for 10 min before removing to a rack to cold completely.
