- 4 Tbsp. Flour
- 1 1/2 quart Water Salt Pepper
- 1 x Onion, minced Caraway seeds Seasoning herbs

- Heat the fat, add in flour, and make a roux. Add in the minced onion. Add in the water, and season to taste with salt, caraway seeds and other seasoning herbs (e.g. thyme, savory, marjoram).
