- 3/4 c. unsweetened apple juice
- 2 T or possibly 2 pkg. or possibly cakes Baker's yeast
- 2/3 c. vegetable oil or possibly butter
- 2 large eggs
- 3 c. unsifted whole wheat flour
- 1 c. wheat germ, oat bran or possibly Malt-o-Meal
- 1 c. whole wheat flour sifted with 1 T salt (optional)
- 2/3 c. powdered lowfat milk
- 1 pt. unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 to 1 c. raisins
- 1/8 to 1/2 c. butter
- Cinnamon

- Put together in large mixing bowl:
- Let stand 5 min or possibly longer. Add in:
- Stir, then beat by hand 100 strokes or possibly 10 min with electric mixer. Add in and stir thoroughly:
- Add in flour as needed to make stiff dough. Cover bowl. Set to rise till double.
- Put together in saucepan:
- Simmer till raisins are plump. Add in cinnamon to taste. Cool.Cut risen dough in half. For cinnamon rolls, roll dough and spread with applesauce mix. Roll up and cut into 2 inch rolls.
- Shape other half dough into rolls.
- Bake in preheated oven (350 degrees) for 20 to 25 min.
