- 1/2 bn celery with leaves finely minced
- 3 lrg onions finely minced
- 2 lrg green peppers finely minced
- 2 x garlic cloves crushed
- 8 x fresh tomatoes - (to 10) scalded and peeled
- 2 can tomato paste
- 1 sm can mushrooms
- 1 pch Italian seasoning
- 1 pch garlic salt
- 1 pch parsley
- 1 pch basil
- 1 pch oregano
- 1 pch chili pepper
- 1 lb grnd beef browned
Инструкции
- In a frying pan saute/fry the onions and celery together with a little margarine; this will bring out juices and will enhance the flavor.
- Put the whole list of ingredients together in the crockpot; stir and let it go for 8 to 10 hrs on LOW.
- Freezes well.
- Comments: This good to make in quantity each fall when tomatoes and green peppers are at their lowest prices, then freeze it in lowfat milk bags and eat delicious sauce all winter till the next season.
