%20%20Great%20place%20to%20sit%20my%20bread%20to%20rise!%20%20Oh,%20our%20house!%20%20I%20haven't%20shared%20any%20photos%20here.%20%20We%20are%20still%20in%20the%20process%20of%20putting%20things%20away%20and%20setting%20up,%20but%20I%20love%20my%20dining%20room%20area.%20%20I%20love%20the%20hardwood%20floors,%20the%20big%20sliding%20door,%20all%20the%20light%20that%20comes%20into%20the%20main%20floor%20of%20the%20home.%20%20I%20also%20really%20love%20where%20our%20dry%20bar%20and%20my%20pallet%20board%20wine%20rack%20is%20and%20how%20the%20track%20lighting%20lights%20it%20up%20when%20its%20dark%20out.%20%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20my%20snow%20day,%20I%20also%20made%20the%20Venison%20and%20White%20Bean%20Chili,%20along%20with%20the%20Meyer%20Lemon%20Curd.%20I%20love%20the%20warm%20comforting%20feeling%20you%20get%20with%20the%20aromas%20of%20freshly%20baking%20bread%20in%20your%20home%20and%20the%20added%20warmth%20of%20the%20chili%20just%20put%20it%20over%20the%20top%20for%20me%20that%20day.%20It%20just%20reminds%20me%20of,%20well,%20home.%20I%20realized%20that%20I%20just%20don't%20make%20homemade%20bread%20often%20enough%20and%20I%20plan%20to%20remedy%20that.%20%20I%20also%20plan%20to%20make%20this%20place%20feel%20more%20like%20home%20every%20day!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20chose%20this%20recipe%20because%20a%20friend%20of%20mine%20was%20looking%20for%20the%20%22softest%20bread%20ever%22%20and%20we%20decided%20to%20bake%20different%20recipes%20on%20the%20same%20day.%20%20This%20bread%20did%20turn%20out%20pretty%20soft,%20but%20I%20have%20to%20admit,%20after%20day%20one,%20it%20no%20longer%20was%20as%20soft%20as%20it%20was%20when%20it%20was%20fresh.%20%20Still,%20it%20was%20pretty%20darn%20good%20and%20none%20of%20it%20went%20to%20waste.%20%20I%20ended%20up%20taking%20a%20couple%20slices%20each%20day%20to%20work%20and%20toasting%20it%20for%20my%20breakfast.%20%20Would%20I%20make%20it%20again?%20%20Sure.%20%20But%20like%20my%20friend,%20I'll%20probably%20keep%20searching%20for%20another%20recipe%20to%20try.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20loaves%20didn't%20get%20real%20big%20because%20my%20bread%20pans%20were%20too%20big%20for%20this%20recipe.%20%20I%20wanted%20two%20loaves%20and%20doubled%20the%20recipe%20however%20I%20would%20need%20to%20probably%20triple%20it%20next%20time%20for%202%20loaves%20and%20would%20use%20bread%20flour%20instead%20of%20all%20purpose.%20%20I%20also%20changed%20the%20method%20just%20because%20it%20is%20the%20way%20I%20always%20make%20my%20bread%20no%20matter%20what%20a%20recipe%20states.%20%20I%20use%20my%20KitchenAid%20however,%20you%20don't%20have%20to%20use%20a%20kitchen%20aid%20for%20this,%20you%20could%20do%20it%20all%20by%20hand%20-%20or%20you%20could%20probably%20mix%20it%20right%20in%20a%20bread%20machine%20pan.%20%20I%20probably%20wouldn't%20bake%20it%20in%20the%20bread%20machine%20myself%20but%20I%20don't%20see%20a%20reason%20why%20you%20couldn't.%20%20I%20found%20the%20recipe%20on%20Kurryleaves.%20%20Be%20sure%20to%20check%20out%20the%20site.%20%20Very%20nice%20photos!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESoft%20Homemade%20White%20Bread%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eadapted%20slightly%20from%20Kurryleaves%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Emakes%202%20small%20loaves%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20Kitchen-Aid%20mixing%20bowl%20add%20ingredients%20as%20follows:%20%20Warm%20almond%20milk,%20melted%20butter,%20granulated%20sugar,%20salt,%20all%20purpose%20flour.%20%20Make%20a%20small%20well%20in%20the%20flour%20and%20pour%20the%20yeast%20into%20the%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20dough%20hook%20attachment%20and%20turn%20mixer%20on%20slowly.%20%20Let%20turn%20until%20dough%20begins%20to%20form%20on%20low%20speed.%20%20Stop%20mixer%20as%20needed%20to%20put%20flour%20down%20sides%20of%20bowl%20to%20allow%20to%20incorporate.%20%20Once%20dough%20has%20formed,%20turn%20mixer%20onto%20a%20slightly%20higher%20speed%20and%20%22knead%22%20the%20dough,%20approximately%207%20minutes.%20%20Add%20more%20flour%20by%20the%20tablespoon%20if%20need.%20%20Dough%20should%20still%20be%20very%20soft%20but%20not%20wet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETurn%20dough%20out%20onto%20lightly%20floured%20board.%20%20Knead%20a%20few%20more%20times.%20%20Place%20in%20a%20lightly%20oiled%20bowl%20(I%20use%20my%20kitchen%20aid%20bowl%20-%20I%20just%20wash%20it%20first)%20and%20cover%20with%20wrap.%20%20Set%20in%20a%20warm,%20draft%20free%20spot%20and%20let%20rise%20until%20double.%20%20About%201-1/2%20to%202%20hours.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPunch%20dough%20down%20and%20divide%20in%20half.%20%20Shape%20into%202%20loaves%20and%20place%20in%20bread%20pan%20sprayed%20with%20cooking%20spray.%20%20Sit%20in%20a%20warm,%20dry%20place%20and%20cover%20with%20a%20towel%20until%20dough%20has%20risen%20to%20the%20top%20of%20the%20bread%20pan%20(or%20slightly%20over).%20%20About%201%20hour.%20%20%20Place%20in%20oven%20pre-heated%20to%20350%20degrees%20and%20bake%20for%2030-35%20minutes.%20%20Remove%20from%20oven%20and%20immediately%20rub%20the%20top%20of%20loaves%20with%20a%20butter%20if%20desired.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETips:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHow%20to%20know%20if%20the%20bread%20is%20really%20done?%20%20My%20mom%20taught%20me%20to%20tap%20the%20loaves%20when%20you%20think%20they%20look%20like%20they%20are%20done.%20%20They%20should%20have%20a%20hollow%20tap.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMom%20always%20used%20the%20stick%20butter%20to%20rub%20the%20top%20of%20the%20warm%20loaf.%20%20She%20would%20remove%20some%20of%20the%20paper%20and%20just%20rub%20it%20over%20top%20until%20it%20was%20covered.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20don't%20want%20to%20add%20the%20butter%20to%20the%20top%20because%20of%20the%20added%20fat,%20you%20can%20just%20put%20the%20warm%20loaf%20of%20bread%20in%20a%20bread%20bag.%20%20Do%20not%20close%20the%20bag,%20let%20it%20sit%20loosely%20open%20until%20cooled.%20%20The%20condensation%20will%20keep%20the%20crust%20soft!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
