- 3 pkt dry yeast
- 1/3 c. water
- 1Â 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1Â 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1Â 1/2 stk margarine
- 3 x Large eggs, beaten
- 6Â 3/4 c. flour

- Dissolve yeast in hot water. Scald lowfat milk and add in salt, sugar, and margarine; cold till just hot. Add in beaten Large eggs to yeast. Gradually add in flour. Knead a few min. Put in greased bowl, turning once and let rise till double in bulk in a hot place. Divide dough in half and roll into rectangle on floured board. Brush with melted butter and cut into strips 1 inch wide and 9 inches long. Tie strips in a knot and put on greased cookie sheet and let rise. Repeat with other half of dough.
- This dough will be sticky, but try not to add in more flour. Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 to 10 min till light brown. Brush with lowfat milk just before done and return to oven a couple min, or possibly brush with butter when done. These freeze well.
