- Â Â An orange-sized tamarind ball
- 1 Tbsp. Jaggery, powdered
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 12 x Green chiles, minced
- 4 sprg curry leaves, minced
- 1 x 4" piece ginger, minced
- Â Â Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp Black mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Black gram dal
- 3 x Red chiles, broken
- 4 Tbsp. Oil

- Extract juice from tamarind. Heat oil and add in mustard seeds, black gram dal and red chilies. When brown, add in green chilies and curry leaves and fry for a couple of min. Now add in tamarind juice, jaggery, turmeric, salt and ginger. Cook until mix is thick.
