%20While%20it%E2%80%99s%20bittersweet%20saying%20goodbye%20to%20June%20and%20the%20first%201/3%20of%20the%20summer,%20it%E2%80%99s%20not%20bitter%20at%20all%20bidding%20adieu%20to%20the%20rain%20and%20unpredictable%20weather%20it%20brought%20our%20way.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstead,%20I%E2%80%99ve%20got%20my%20sights%20set%20on%20fireworks,%20long%20walks,%20grill%20outs%20(the%20propane%20tank%20on%20the%20grill%20at%20our%20old%20house%20ran%20out%20in%20early%20June%20and%20I%20was%20too%20lazy%20to%20get%20a%20new%20one.%20I%20know.)%20fireflies,%20farmers%E2%80%99%20markets%20and,%20OH%20YEAH,%20TURNING%2030!!%20Between%20moving%20and%20preparing%20for%20our%20son%E2%80%99s%20arrival,%20I%20legitimately%20keep%20forgetting%20that%20I%E2%80%99m%20turning%2030%20in%20just%20over%20a%20week,%20on%20July%205th.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGulp.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%E2%80%99m%20actually%20not%20as%20freaked%20out%20as%20I%20thought%20I%E2%80%99d%20be,%20believe%20it%20or%20not,%20as%20I%E2%80%99ve%20come%20to%20realize%20that%20age%20is%20just%20a%20number%20with%20no%20control%20over%20how%20you%20feel%20on%20the%20inside.%20Did%20I%20love%20my%2020s?%20Hells%20yes.%20Am%20I%20looking%20forward%20to%20the%20next%20decade?%20Sure.%20Especially%20if%20it%20means%20I%20get%20to%20bring%20a%20baby%20into%20this%20world%20and%20become%20a%20Mama.%20More%20power%20to%20ya%E2%80%99,%20thirties!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyway,%20seeing%20as%20how%20July%204th%20IS%20just%20next%20week,%20I%20wanted%20to%20share%20a%20unique%20and%20special%20burger%20recipe%20for%20you%20to%20consider%20adding%20to%20your%20holiday%20menu%20-%20Maple-Bacon%20Beer%20Burgers.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20got%20this%20burger%20recipe%20from%20the%20Iowa%20Beef%20Industry%20Council%20after%20visiting%20a%20cattle%20farm%20last%20week%20(and%20bottle-feeding%20a%20calf%20%E2%80%93%20seriously,%20AW!)%20for%20Join%20My%20Journey.%20This%20burger%20is%20unique,%20but%20more%20importantly,%20insanely%20easy.%20I%20feel%20like%20there%E2%80%99s%20less%20ingredients%20in%20here%20than%20in%20a%20traditional%20kitchen-sink%20burger!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeer,%20maple%20syrup,%20and%20Worcestershire%20sauce-spiked%20patties%20are%20grilled%20then%20topped%20with%20cheese%20and%20crisp%20maple-bacon%20for%20a%20not%20too%20sweet,%20but%20seriously%20inspired%20bite.%20Serve%20with%20all%20the%20fixins%E2%80%99%20ya%E2%80%99%20like,%20or%20KISS,%20like%20I%20did!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStart%20by%20cooking%208%20slices%20Maple%20Bacon%20until%20crisp,%20any%20which%20way%20you%20like.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20preferred%20method%20is%20placing%20a%20cooling%20rack%20atop%20a%20foil-lined%20baking%20sheet,%20spraying%20it%20well%20with%20nonstick%20spray,%20then%20placing%20the%20bacon%20slices%20on%20top.%20Pop%20into%20a%20cold%20oven,%20turn%20the%20heat%20to%20400%20degrees%20then%20bake%20for%2015-20%20minutes%20or%20until%20supah-crisp,%20flipping%20half%20way%20through.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeanwhile,%20get%20the%20burger%20patties%20ready.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20bowl%20combine%201lb%2090/10%20ground%20beef%20with%201/4%20cup%20beer,%202%20Tablespoons%20Worcestershire%20sauce,%20and%201-1/2%20Tablespoons%20maple%20syrup%20(not%20pancake%20syrup.)%20The%20maple%20flavor%20in%20here%20is%20really%20subtle.%20Definitely%20not%20overly%20sweet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECrack%20LOTS%20of%20black%20pepper%20on%20top%20then%20mix%20until%20just%20combined%20and%20shape%20the%20meat%20into%204%20patties.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpray%20the%20tops%20with%20nonstick%20spray%20then%20pop%20those%20babies%20onto%20a%20preheated%20grill%20over%20medium-high%20heat.%20Grill%20for%204-5%20minutes%20on%20the%20first%20side%20then%20carefully%20spray%20the%20tops%20with%20nonstick%20spray%20before%20flipping%20and%20grilling%20for%203-4%20minutes%20on%20the%20other%20side.%20When%20the%20burgers%20have%201%20minute%20left,%20pop%20a%20slice%20of%20cheddar%20cheese%20on%20top%20to%20melt,%20and%20lightly%20grill%204%20buns.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETop%20with%20the%20crisp%20maple-bacon,%20and%20dig%20in!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMaple-Bacon%20Beer%20Burgers%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%204%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESlightly%20adapted%20from%20IA%20Beef%20Industry%20Council%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20ground%20beef,%20beer,%20Worcestershire%20sauce,%20maple%20syrup,%20and%20pepper%20together%20in%20large%20bowl%20until%20just%20combined%20then%20shape%20into%204%20patties.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpray%20tops%20of%20patties%20with%20nonstick%20spray%20then%20place%20sprayed%20side%20down%20on%20a%20pre-heated%20grill%20over%20medium-high%20heat.%20Grill%20for%204-5%20minutes%20a%20side,%20carefully%20spraying%20tops%20with%20nonstick%20spray%20before%20flipping.%20When%20second%20side%20has%201%20minute%20left,%20add%20cheese%20on%20top%20then%20lightly%20grill%20buns.%20Place%20burgers%20onto%20grilled%20buns%20then%20top%20with%20cooked%20bacon.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20burgers%20have%20got%20some%20serious%20panache%20(always%20wanted%20to%20use%20that
