- 2 1/2 c. Cake flour (you can use all-purpose flour, but cake flour gives a better texture)
- 1 c. White sugar
- 1 c. Brown sugar
- 3 x Large eggs
- 1 c. Nuts
- 1 tsp Cloves
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Almond extract
- 1 tsp Orange extract
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Soda
- 1 c. Oil
- 1 1/3 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/3 c. Butter
- 4 c. Confectioner's sugar
- 1/4 c. Orange juice
- 1 tsp Vanilla

- I got this recipe from a coworker about 25 years ago. She was of Italian-American background and referred to it as Italian Orange Spice Cake.
- Use 9x13S pan. Grease it and dust it with flour. Preheat oven to 350.
- Blend oil and lowfat milk. Beat in Large eggs and beat till well blended. Mix the sugars and add in the egg mix. Combine all dry ingredients before adding to sugar mix. Mix well. Last add in nuts and liquid flavorings. Bake for 25-30 min at 350. Don't overbake as it will dry out.
- ORANGE ICING: Mix together in order given. Spread on cake after it is cold.
