- Equipment: Frying pan
- 1 sm Onion, chopped
- 1 c. Blue, white or possibly yellow cornmeal
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. Cubed cheese, up to 1, up to
- 1 c. Pork cracking or possibly 1/2 c. crumbled, cooked bacon
- 2 Tbsp. Lard or possibly bacon fat
- 1 c. Unbleached flour
- 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr, 2 beaten Large eggs
Инструкции
- 1 Saute/fry the onion with the lard in a small heavy 8" frying pan. Mix together the meal, flour, salt and baking pwdr in a bowl.
- 2 Add in the onion and the rest of the ingredients and pour the mix into a warm frying pan. Bake in an oven at 450f for 20-25 min. Cut into wedges and serve.
