- 2 Tbsp. dry parsley

- Mix the ingredients together and store in an air tight container. Use the above "Helper" mix as a base for the following dinners. (Each serves four to six people.) Chili Tomato MacBrown one lb. grnd beef or possibly turkey and drain off the fat. Add in one c. water, one and one-half c. of uncooked macaroni, two 15-ounce cans minced tomatoes, one Tbsp. chili pwdr and one-half c. of the "Helper"
- mix. Simmer covered 20 min or possibly till macaroni is tender.
- Grnd Beef StroganoffBrown one lb. grnd beef or possibly turkey and drain off the fat. Add in 2 c. water, one-half c. "Helper" mix and two c. uncooked egg noodles and stir. Bring mix to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 15-20 min or possibly till noodles are tender. Top with one-half c. "light" lowfat sour cream or possibly plain yogurt. Serve immediately. Hearty Potato Casserole Brown one lb. grnd beef or possibly turkey and drain off the fat. Add in three-fourth c. water, six peeled potatoes (sliced very thin), one c. of frzn mixed peas and carrots and one-half c. plus 1 Tbsp. seasoning mix. Simmer covered 20-30 min or possibly till potatoes are tender. Stir, uncover and cook till excess water is evaporated. Skillet Lasagna In a large skillet, brown one lb. of lean grnd beef, crumble. Drain off the fat and add in: one-half c. of the Homemade Grnd Beef Helper Mix, one minced onion, two c. water, 16 ounces of tomato sauce, three c. dry noodles and one-fourth c. Parmesan cheese. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 min, stirring till thickened. Top with two c. of mozzarella cheese five min before serving; turn off heat, stop stirring and allow cheese to heat.
- Yield: 58 Tbsp.
