- 1 3/4 c. Whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1 c. Buttermilk
- 3 ounce Lowfat cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 ounce Canned green chili peppers, minced

- Mix the dry ingredients together. Preheat the oven to 450F.
- Using a pastry blender, cut the butter into the flour mix to make fine crumbs.
- Gently stir in the buttermilk, cheese, and peppers, using a fork.
- Drop by spoonfuls into 12 mounds on a bakino sheet. Bake for 12 - 15 min, or possibly till the biscuits are lightly browned on top. Serve at once.
