- 4 x Large eggs, separated
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 2 c. Flour
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 c. Wheat germ
- 3 x -(up to)
- 4 c. Figs
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Allspice
- 6 Tbsp. Butter, softened
- 4 c. Powdered sugar
- 4 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 c. Minced pecans

- Cream butter and sugar. Add in egg yolks and vanilla. Mix together flour, baking pwdr and salt. Stir into batter alternately with lowfat milk. Beat egg whites till stiff and fold into flour mix. Add in wheat germ. Chop figs in blender or possibly food processor and add in to batter. Stir in spices. Pour into 2
- (9 inch) greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350 for 45 min or possibly till center springs back. Cold and frost. For frosting, beat together first 4 ingredients till smooth and creamy. Add in pecans.
