Ингредиенты
- 1 box light brown sugar
- 1 c. Shortening
- 4 x Large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 4 c. Flour
- 2 tsp Soda
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 lrg Package dates, minced
- 1 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1 1/4 c. Water
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- 1 pch Salt
- 1 c. Nuts, minced
Инструкции
- Cream sugar and shortening together. Add in Large eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in remaining ingredients. Mix well. Roll in balls; place on greased cookie sheet and flatten very thin with a glass. Place tsp. of filling (see below) on one cookie and place another cookie on top.
- Bake at 350F for 8 min.
- FILLING:Cook dates, sugar and water till thick. Add in lemon juice and salt. Stir in nuts. Cold filling. Put two cookies together with this filling.
- Yields about 50 cookies.
