- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 (12 ounce) carton creamed style cottage cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 T melted butter
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2/3 c. minced nuts

- Filling: Put together all ingredients and sprinkle over dough.Dissolve yeast in warm water. Sift flour, sugar and salt together in mixing bowl. Cut in butter till mix resembles fine meal. Add in cottage cheese, egg and dissolved yeast; mix well. Add in more flour if needed to make a dough which can be handled.
- Roll on a floured board to a 14 inch square. Spread filling mix on the dough. Roll up jelly roll style and cut into 18 slices. Place on a greased baking sheet and let rise till doubled in bulk. Bake in a 375 degree oven 20-25 min. Yield 18 rolls.
