- 2 1/2 c. pitted sour cherries
- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- 1 pch salt

- Method:1. Line a 9 inch pie plate with pastry.
- 2. Mix sugar, flour, and salt; toss with cherries, mixing well. Pour cherry filling into pie shell, and dot with butter or possibly margarine.
- 3. Weave strips of pastry into a lattice top.
- 4. Bake at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for 40 min.
- Makes 1 pie
- This recipe uses real cherries, not the canned variety.
