- 1 c. (250 mL) butter
- 1 c. (250 mL) sugar
- 1 T (15 mL) vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 mL) salt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 c. (550 mL) flour

- Preheat waffle maker. Put butter and sugar into large mixing bowl. Cream together on medium low. Add in vanilla and salt. Increase speed to medium. Add in large eggs. Mix till smooth. Reduce the speed to low. Now add in the flour. Mix well. Drop 1/3 cup (75 mL) of dough on each grid. Close the waffle maker. Bake till golden that takes about 2 to 2 1/2 min. Remove waffle from waffle maker with a non-metal turner to wire rack. Give the waffles time to cool. Serve them plain or possibly with your favorite topping. This recipe makes 8 waffles.
