Обо мне
American/Italian. I have my priorities in order God, Family, Friends & Country..and yes, Food. Married to a great guy...handsome and funny, who allows me to abuse him in my blogs. My son melts my heart and adores what I cook. His lovely wife and I are good friends. So when are those babies coming? My best friends are my sisters...all 5 of them and of course, Sunny. I'm passionate about cooking, writing, collecting recipes, and eating. I'm always on a diet, but can't seem to lose a pound. I love with all my heart. My foodblog is http://cucinananette.blogspot.com
Кулинарное влияние
My mother..my mother...my mother and Nonna Bello, too. My mom can cook anything with anything she has on hand. She was a full time school teacher and fed her family of 7 children, husband and mother who lived with us a homemade meal each and every day. She did it wth love, passion, adventure and without complaint. Beautiful memories were made at the table and continue today. When my time comes to enter heaven, I will just follow the aroma of tomato sauce (gravy) and it will lead me straight to Mom.
I must include in this the family members esp. my sisters, friends, co-workers, and those who know how much I love cooking for all the recipes they've shared with me throughout the years. Thank you one and all for that little bit of you.

- 25 марта 2012I married an Italian man 38 years ago, so does that count? Your "about me" sounds so much like me. I am the yoyo queen of diets but I love, love food and making it. My best taste tester is my hubby. Looking forward to sharing recipes if you'd like to "follow back". Love your recipes!
- 23 мая 2011Hi Purabi....Love Indian Food! Will enjoy your recipes, I'm sure. Thanks for the follow. N
cucinananette.blogspot.com - 23 мая 2011Hi, I am your new follower. Please follow me back and visit my Indian food blog on some unusual curries at http://cosmopolitancurrymania.blogspot.com. My latest post is on the famous Indian rice dessert, slow-cooked in milk and sweetened with jaggery...
- 06 мая 2011Hello Nanette! :) Thank you for following me back. Jeannie is my nickname, it's the long version of Jean. lol but I love my nickname and the name Jeannie for Eugenia is brilliant though I think Eugenia is already a lovely name.
I am happy to hear that you featured a Filipino dish, Pancit Bihon is always the ultimate star of every Filipino feast anywhere you go here. And this dish has too many varieties varying from regions and provinces... there is even a Pancit dish making use of long shredded young coconut flesh as "Pancit noodles".
I've posted some Filipino dishes with my own twists on my blog before.
Yes, I will check out your awesome sites. Thanks again! :) - 01 февраля 2011Nanette - is there such a thing as a porkaholic? We love pork and are eager to test your recipes, since we live in an area that is a major pork producer for the US. I hope we can be friends - best regards, Amos
- 05 декабря 2010Hi Nanette
I am looking forward to seeing your recipes. I am a nut for Italian food :) - 30 сентября 2010Hi Nanette - The availability of ethnic foods has gotten much better in the Coeur d’Alene area over the past 10 years or so but unless you go out of your way (in my case about 35 miles) to a speciality food store, things are still somewhat limited. The closest thing I could find to orecchiette was large shell pasta. It worked very well.
Hot sauce is an integral part of my daily food intake. I have 15-20 sauces at home at any one time and currently have 4 in my desk drawer at my office. There is no one sauce I can call my favorite but I think Iguana makes an excellent range of sauces covering cayenne, habanero, jalapeno, and chipotle. I also like Goya’s Salsita Arbol for an all around red sauce. - 07 сентября 2010Thank you Nanette. I love CES. I visited your site and absolutely love your page. What do you use to design your page? Happy cooking!
Tamara Pope-Daugherty - 30 августа 2010Hello there Nanette,
What a pretty name! Your name reminds me of the play "No, No Nanette" where the song "Tea For Two" came from-a song that is one of my fav's that my Nanny taught me when I was much younger.
Your day sounded really wonderful there in NY. It is wonderful how the BIG ORANGE and the BIG APPLE can seem so utterly close with the internet, ya know?

I taught piano for 20 years and was married to a rocket scientist for 15...now on my own for 8 years. I have no choice to work and wish i didn't have to work as much as I do. I am exploring options of maybe moving to Utah again, maybe AZ-where I was born, maybe even Indio, CA. All of those places cost about 1/3 the price of here....and in Utah I taught every kid on the block piano....so time will tell.
Pandora is FREE and I would recommend for you to try it out. There is nothing to do but just let your favorite songs play. I listen to it every day while I am working and it feels like I am not working because of it. :-)
I will have to look at your blog some time too.
What do you do for the Catholic Church?
I will cut/paste this in your email if there is one on here.
I discovered a really wonderful site called JustaPinch.com. I am now on there and 3 really nice women are now my friends and one joined both my websites today. :-)
It is so amazing to me how there is a reaction for every action we do. I hope to make all my actions good ones so that I help way more than myself.
God bless and talk to you soon.
Paulette Le Pore Motzko - 28 августа 2010hi Nanette, please would love to add things to your group. - 27 августа 2010Hello there Nanette,
Paulette here in southern CA!
What a nice surprise it was to read from you in my email today. People like you become like jewels in a "friendship necklace" that I wear close to my heart each day.
I am glad that I said that to my friend about Lourdes then if it attracted you to me. I PRAY FOR THAT VERY THING: TO MEET PEOPLE WHO ARE KIND, CARING, EMPATHETIC AND LOVING AND TO AVOID THOSE WHO ARE NOT THOSE THINGS.
(Avoiding the wrong people who don't know what to value in life is almost more important than attracting those who are like you; I try to do both each day.)
I am here at Starbucks in Huntington Beach, a place that I go to at least several times a week, mainly because I know SO MANY PEOPLE WHO COME HERE AND SEEM TO MEET NEW PEOPLE EVERY TIME I COME IN!
There is a kind of good Karma thing going on that I don't understand but I just "go with it."
My friend Keith is going to call me in 20 minutes.
I would love you to join my little cooking blog called "Cooking Up A Storm All Over The World!" at:

There is a song playing on Pandora now on a station that I created and programmed to play all the songs that I like: called "I got my mind set on you" at:
http://www.pandora.com/music/song/george+harrison/got+my+mind+set+on+you
There is a book that I found for a friend who wants to take his wife to Lourdes, France on a trip coming up. I did a search and found an extraordinary book that is for those who wants to do a pilgrimage to and it is a prayer book. I have it saved in my virtual shopping cart on Amazon with about $200 dollars worth.....I will tell you the exact name of it if you are interested. I think the book was under $6 amazingly.
God bless you and I look forward to seeing you on my site!
On the Pandora is "You've Got a Friend" by James Taylor now....one of my all time fav's by him.
Polly Motzko - 21 августа 2010Kisses to you and your Italian husband....that might be the chocolate Martini I just drank talking. Thanks for your kind words...that's not the martini talking. LOL. N
- 18 августа 2010Nanette - My Italian husband is going to be soooo happy that I found you and your recipes, LOL! I look forward to trying them. The Italian Mac & Cheese sounds fabulous and is on next week's menu!
- 29 июля 2010You sound like a great cook, Nanette! Hope you'll enjoy the recipes here and share a few of your family favorites with us. Thanks for adding the spaghetti pie!1 reply
- 30 июля 2010I'm touched by your compliment...thank you. You won't be disappointed with this recipe, and since tomatoes are so in season now...a salad of tomatoes with thin slices of onion, fresh basil, olive oil and salt is all you need. Enjoy!
