When I am not doing that, I am writing Feature Stories for CARestaurantShowCase.com and doing things related to the Buon Gusto Italian Cuisine and Deli. I am their PR Director there and maintain all the correspondence for the restaurant like Facebook.

 Me cooking my "roasted veggies" with balsamic marinade in my cool electric skillet. It took it out of the oven and on the range so it wouldn't heat up the house.

- Doug and his wife are two of the nicest and hard working people around and opened a place in the heart of DownTown Historic Garden Grove. His Beef Brisket is smoked on a smoker -and it is mouth watering! The Creme Brulee is made daily and he has a following-I had never had any that had fresh raspberries in it! Also their Mahi Mahi with a coconut crust is outstanding too! The list goes on and on and the menu changes daily.

- I am writing a review for JJ the owner and manager there and it will be upcoming soon with pictures of the interior of the many Elivs Artifacts and their amazing bar. This place has been around for about 30 years in the historic distric of Garden Grove..my favorite place in that city. Their Garlic Tacos are a must, plus you can take the sauce home and put it on other things like tostadas and whatever else you think up!
- Carolina's Italian Restaurant (Garden Grove, CA)
- Aside from the Italian that I make, or my dad makes still at almost 83-this place owned by my friend Tim has the widest selection of entrees that I have seen using the best quality ingredients. His focaccia bread is to die for and I wish he would give me the recipe for it! (You can make a dinner on that and his Minestrone). Two people can split one of the combination dinners since up to 4 entrees are on one massive platter! If you like beer, he features over 200 beers from all over the world. It is a small place but full of heart and love and amazing Italian food!

10 декабря 2010Polly, I made a mistake yesterday about the biscotti recipes from cake mixes. I just "googled" "biscotti from cake mixes" and came up with several sites. You might try that. What a pretty name! Your name reminds me of the play "No, No Nanette" where the song "Tea For Two" came from-a song that is one of my fav's that my Nanny taught me when I was much younger.
Your day sounded really wonderful there in NY. It is wonderful how the BIG ORANGE and the BIG APPLE can seem so utterly close with the internet, ya know?

I taught piano for 20 years and was married to a rocket scientist for 15...now on my own for 8 years. I have no choice to work and wish i didn't have to work as much as I do. I am exploring options of maybe moving to Utah again, maybe AZ-where I was born, maybe even Indio, CA. All of those places cost about 1/3 the price of here....and in Utah I taught every kid on the block piano....so time will tell.
Pandora is FREE and I would recommend for you to try it out. There is nothing to do but just let your favorite songs play. I listen to it every day while I am working and it feels like I am not working because of it. :-)
I will have to look at your blog some time too.
What do you do for the Catholic Church?

I discovered a really wonderful site called JustaPinch.com. I am now on there and 3 really nice women are now my friends and one joined both my websites today. :-)

It is simply fabulous in NY today.. more like a brilliant September day. It will be 95ish by Sunday...Summer is back which is okay by me. A friendship necklace. I like that...count me in.
