- 2 c. fresh lowfat milk
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 6 egg yolks, beaten with fork
- 2 c. whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg and a dash of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

- Cook the lowfat milk, sugar, salt, and egg yolks over warm water till it forms a soft custard; stir while cooking with a fork. Cold. Whip the cream till almost stiff; mix in the custard and flavorings. Freeze till almost hard. Beat in chilled bowl till well blended. Return to tray and freeze till hard. Makes 1 qt.
