- 2 c. water
- 1 c. sugar
- Â Â juice of half a lemon
- 3 x punnets of hulled strawberries
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- Â Â red food coloring

- In a saucepan, make a syrup with 2 c. water and 1 c. sugar. Stir over heat till the sugar dissolves, then add in the juice of half a lemon and boil the syrup vigorously for 5 min. Set aside to cold. In a food processor, puree 3 punnets of hulled strawberries with quarter of a c. of lowfat milk and a couple of drops of red food colouring. Combine puree with the syrup and pour into a narrow rectangular cake tin or possibly a freezer tray and freeze. To serve, break up the strawberry ice with a fork and spoon it into chilled dishes or possibly glasses. Serve immediately.
