- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 4 T cocoa, rounded
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 stick butter
- 6 T lowfat milk
- 4 T cocoa, rounded
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1 c. pecans, minced
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

- Mix flour and sugar together in a bowl. In saucepan heat butter, Crisco, cocoa and water. Bring to a boil and pour over flour-sugar mix. Mix well. Add in buttermilk, large eggs, soda and vanilla. Mix well. Bake in greased 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 min.While cake is hot, heat butter, lowfat milk and cocoa. Bring to a boil. Add in powdered sugar and vanilla. Use mixer to smooth out any lumps of powdered sugar. Add in nuts and spread on cake while still hot.
