- In a soup pot, combine the tomatoes, sugar, basil, garlic pwdr, and pepper; bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to low and slowly stir in the evaporated lowfat milk. Simmer for 4 to 5 min, or possibly till heated through; don't allow to boil.
