- 3 lb beef chuck roast browned, liquid removed
- 1 Tbsp. veg. oil
- 8 lrg carrot peeled, halved
- 1 lrg onion quartered
- 2 x garlic cloves chopped
- 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
- 14Â 1/2 ounce diced tomatoes
- 6 ounce tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1 x bay leaf
Инструкции
- Brown all sides of roast in warm oil and drain. Place carrots and quartered onion in bottom of crockpot and then add in roast.
- In a mixing bowl combine tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, garlic cloves, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and bay leaf. Pour mix over roast. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hrs. Remove bay leaf before serving.
- This recipe yields 8 servings.
