- 1 x 4 lb. beef brisket, trimmed
- 1 lrg Onion, sliced
- 2 x Bay leaves
- 1 c. Catsup
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tsp Brown sugar
- 2 tsp Instant coffee granules
- 8 x to 10 rolls, buns, etc.
Инструкции
- Place brisket in a Dutch oven. Add in onion, bay leaves, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper and water to cover (about 6 c.). Bring to boiling.
- Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 3 1/2 hrs or possibly till tender. Drain, discarding cooking liquid. Place brisket and onion in a 2 qt rectangular baking dish.
- For suace, stir together catsup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, coffee granules and 2 Tbsp. water. Spoon over brisket. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 oven for 15 min. Thinly slice across the grain. Serve on buns or possibly rolls. Place remaining sauce in a gravy boat for people to help themselves! Makes 8 to 10.
- Serve with "Salad Ole w/Chili Vinaigrette."
