Nah-less-knee-key. Traditional Ukrainian dish, tastes a whole lot better than it sounds. Rich melt in your mouth.

Инструкции

  1. TO MAKE CREPES.
  2. In a bowl, using a hand held electric mixer, beat eggs until light and fluffy.
  3. Add milk, flour and salt and beat until all ingredients are incorporated and batter is smooth.
  4. Heat a griddle or frying pan on medium/high heat.
  5. 5 Oil the pan lightly and pour batter to make 5" to 6" thin crepes.
  6. Cook crepes for about 1 minute or until lightly browned.
  7. Turn over and fry for just seconds.
  8. Continue to cook the crepes.
  9. ( As you get better you can roll 3 crepes as 3 more are cooking)
  10. TO MAKE CHEESE FILLING.
  11. Place the cottage cheese to a mixing bowl.
  12. Add egg, cream salt, and dill weed and mix to blend well.
  13. Preheat oven temperature to 350°F.
  14. Separate and place 1 crepe with the brown side down on a smooth surface.
  15. Spoon about 1 heaping tablespoon of cheese filling along one edge of the crepe.
  16. Roll the crepe over the filling and roll up.
  17. Continue to fill and roll the remaining crepes.
  18. Place the finished nalysnyky into a lightly buttered oven proof casserole dish in layers.
  19. Dot each layer with some butter.
  20. When ready to bake pour whipping cream over crepes until about 1/2 way up crepes.
  21. Bake covered in preheated 350 F oven for 30 minutes or until puffed up.
