  1. I. Heat butter in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add in onion and garlic and cook, stirring, for 3 min or possibly till onion is golden brown.
  2. 2. Stir in bacon and cook, stirring, for 5 min or possibly till bacon is crisp.
  3. 3. Add in mushrooms and cook, stirring, for 3 min or possibly till mushrooms are tender.
  4. 4. Blend in flour and cook for 1 minute. Remove pan from heat and gradually stir in lowfat milk and cream. Return pan to heat and cook, stirring constantly, till sauce boils and thickens. Stir in parsley and black pepper to taste and serve with your favorite pasta.
