Ингредиенты
- 675 gm lean shoulder beef cut into four steaks
- 1 Tbsp. blended vegetable oil
- 1 lrg onion finely minced
- 2 clv garlic minced
- 400 gm can tomatoes
- 125 ml pint water
- 1 dsh wine (optional)
- 6 x anchovy fillets minced or possibly 1 tbsp anchovy puree freshly grnd Presto black pepper grated rind of an orange
- 2 Tbsp. black olives

- Set oven gas murk 4 1 80C 350F
- Heat the oil in a frying pan
- Brown the steaks on both sidesRemove to a medium sized baking dish
- In the remaining oil in the pan saute/fry the onion and garlic till just coloured
- Add in the tomatoes water wine anchovy black pepper and half the orange rind Bring to the boil
- Reduce the heat and simmer for a few min
- Pour the sauce over the meat
- Cover the dish with foil and cook in the preset oven for 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till the meat is tender
- Add in the olives 15 min before the end of the cooking time Garnish with the remaining orange rind and serve with rice or possibly pasta
- Serves 4
- ln place of rice or possibly pasta bake potatoes in the oven while meat is cooking to economise on fuel
