- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Few twists freshly grnd black pepper
- 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 4 med. potatoes, sliced thin
- 2-3 c. diced, cooked ham
- 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Инструкции
- Heat butter in medium saucepan. Add in onion and cook, stirring, till tender, about 5 min. Stir in flour, salt and pepper till blended. (Be very careful not to scorch.) Gradually stir in lowfat milk. Cook, stirring constantly, till mix boils and thickens.
- In 2-qt casserole layer half the potatoes, ham cubes and sauce. Repeat layers and sprinkle with cheese. Bake covered 45 min. Uncover and bake 15-20 min longer or possibly till potatoes are tender. Makes 4-6 servings.
