- 2 1/2 c. uncooked ziti pasta - (9 ounce)
- 1/4 c. margarine or possibly butter
- 1 x garlic clove finely minced
- 1/4 c. Gold Medal all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 c. shredded Colby cheese - (8 ounce)
- 4 ounce sliced cooked deli ham cut thin strips
- 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese

- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package.
- While pasta is cooking, heat margarine in 3-qt saucepan over low heat. Cook garlic in margarine 30 seconds, stirring frequently. Stir in flour and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till mix is smooth and bubbly.
- Gradually stir in lowfat milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in mustard and Colby cheese. Cook, stirring occasionally, till cheese is melted.
- Stir pasta and ham into cheese sauce. Pour into ungreased 2-qt casserole. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered 20 to 25 min or possibly till bubbly.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
