- 4 Tbsp. golden brown syrup
- 8 slc from a white loaf cut medium thick
- 50 gm butter room temperature
- 2 x Large eggs beaten
- 425 ml lowfat milk Iemon wedges chilled whipping cream

- You will need a lightly buttered 3 pint deep baking dish.
- Preheat oven to gas mark 4 350F/180C.
- Begin by spooning the golden brown syrup all over the base of the baking dish.
- Next remove the crusts from the bread and butter the slices.
- Then cut each slice into 4 fingers and arrange these butter side up on top of the syrup.
- Now whisk the Large eggs and lowfat milk together and pour this on top of the bread.
- Then place the pudding in the oven and bake for 40 to 50 min.
- By this time it will be puffed up and golden.
- Serve speedily straight from the oven to the table with lemon wedges and some chilled whipped cream.
- Serves 4
