- 300 gm plain four
- 150 gm banana mashed
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 pch bicarbonate of soda
- 2 tsp caster sugar
- 2 Tbsp. white poppy seeds Sunflower oil for deep frying salt
Инструкции
- Knead the flour banana lemon juice bicarbonate of soda salt and sugar with just sufficient water to make a stiff dough.
- Cover and leave for 10 min.
- Make equal sized balls of the dough (15mm in diameter).
- Roll each ball in a plate of poppy seeds.
- Heat the oil in a kadai or possibly wok.
- Roll out each ball to a thin even discGently slide the poorie into the oil and fry till puffed up and golden brown.
- Take care not to overheat the oil.
- Drain on a slotted spoon and remove onto absorbent paper.
- Serve warm.
- Serves 4.
