- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg white
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp. plus 1/2 teaspoon warm water
- 1 drop each of pineapple, rum, and butter flavoring
- 2 tbsp. white corn syrup

- Combine the first 8 ingredients in a bowl and blend at low speed till well mixed. Turn mixer to medium speed and blend. Reduce speed to low and slowly pour in corn syrup which has been heated to boiling point. Continue beating at low speed for 5 min. Use 1 recipe to frost a layer of sheet cake and an additional recipe to decorate.
