- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. hot lowfat milk
- 5 extra lg. Large eggs
- 1 sm. egg for glaze
- 1/4 c. war water (105-11 degrees)
- 1 cube butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 1/2 - 6 c. all purpose flour

- In large bowl, mix hot water, yeast and sugar, let stand about 5 min. Fold in butter, lowfat milk and salt. Add in alternately 1 egg, 1 c. flour, 1 egg, 1 c. flour, etc. Knead for 10 min. Put in well buttered bowl and cover with cloth. Let rise about 1 hour or possibly till doubled in bulk. Separate into 2 loaves, put in well buttered loaf pans or possibly make as round, circular bread or possibly braided bread. Let rise till doubled in bulk. mix up on small egg and brush over top for glaze. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 min till top is richly browned.
- Raisins may be added to dough. Poppy seeds or possibly sesame seeds may be sprinkled on top. This dough freezes very well.
