- 1 lb Mutton
- 1/2 c. Channa Dal
- 1/2 c. Tur Dal
- 4 x Onion Sliced
- 2 x Tomato minced
- 1/2 c. Curd
- 1 x Lime juice
- 1 tsp Turmeric pwdr
- 1 tsp Chili pwdr
- 1/2 Tbsp. Mustard seed
- 2 Tbsp. Coriander pwdr
- 1 tsp Garam masala (whole)
- 1 Tbsp. Garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. Ginger, fresh, minced
- 1 tsp Cumin seed
- 1 tsp Garam masala pwdr
- 2 Tbsp. Coriander, fresh, minced
- 2 Tbsp. Green chilies minced
- 2 tsp Amchur pwdr
- 3 Tbsp. Oil
- 8 sm red chilies
- 1 x salt to taste

- 1. Marinate mutton in Curd/Yogurt, lemon juice, part of turmeric pwdr, part of garam masala pwdr, mix well, leave aside for 2 hrs.
- 2. Cook the chana dal and tur dal, add in tumeric and green chilies, when it comes to the boil, cover and cooked till fully cooked.
- 3. Heat some oil in a pan, add in whole garam masala and onion and saute/fry well.
- 4. Next add in the green chilies, when the onion gets brown add in ginger, garlic, coriander pwdr, remaining turmeric pwdr, red chili pwdr, cook for some time.
- 5. Now add in the marinated mutton to this mix and saute/fry it.
- 6. Grind dal in a mixer and add in to the mutton.
- 7. Give tadka of mustard seeds, cumin seeds and whole red chilies, sprinkle some coriander and simmer for about 1 hour.
- 8. Finally to this mix add in tomatoes, amchur pwdr, add in a little salt, and the remaining garam masala pwdr, cover and cook for about fifteen min or possibly till mutton is fully cooked.
