- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 18 large marshmallows cut in half

- Sift flour, salt, soda, and cocoa together. Cream shortening and sugar, add in egg, vanilla, and lowfat milk; beating well. Add in dry ingredients and mix. Drop by tsp. onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 min. Remove from oven, press 1/2 marshmallow, cut side down, on top of each cookie. Bake 2 min longer. Cold. Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting. Makes 36 cookies.
