- 2 c. Elbow macaroni
- 1 Tbsp. Butter or possibly oil
- 1 x Onion, minced fine
- 1/2 x Green bell pepper, Minced fine
- 1 lb Grnd beef
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 can Tomatoes/# 2 can
- 8 ounce Tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp Garlic pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Oregano, (1/2 to 1)
- 1 c. Grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. Grated cheddar cheese

- In large skillet or possibly Dutch oven, saute/fry onion and green pepper in butter till soft. (Green pepper is optional, also.) Add in beef, salt and brown lightly. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic pwdr, and oregano. Let simmer. Meanwhile cook macaroni per package directions and place in 3 qt baking dish. Add in sauce and 1 c. of cheese. (If using a Dutch oven, add in macaroni and cheese to sauce in the dutch oven.) Cover top with the 1/2 c. cheese and bake at 375 for 25 min. Also good when reheated next day!
