- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup (5 1/2 tbsp) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans

- Preheat the oven to 350 F
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and the salt
- In a medium microwave safe bowl, melt the butter and the chocolate
- Stir in the sugar
- Add the eggs and the vanilla
- Mix well
- Add the flour mixture
- Mix until blended
- Stir in the pecans
- Drop the dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Cool completely on wire racks
