- "rap-ay"), rape and cima di rape. It is a peppery-tasting broccoli which works well with roasted or possibly grilled meats. Saute/fry THE GARLIC AND ONION in oil till softened. Add in the broccoli rabe, saute/fry 2-to-3 min, cover and steam 4-to-5 min.
