- In a food processor with steel blade,combine flour,baking pwdr,salt and sugar for 3 to 4 seconds.Add in butter and process to consistency of fine breadcrumbs.Alternately,cut butter into dry ingredients with pastry blender or possibly rub in with fingers.Store in airtight container in cold,dry place.Makes 5 1/2 to 6 c. mix.Scone recipe under separate post.
